Product information "Preludio Blanco Barrel Select Chardonnay - Viognier 2019"
To make Preludio white, Chardonnay and Viognier grapes are grown in the Juanico - Canelones vineyard, with calcareous clay soil.
The wine is made from grapes from sustainably managed vineyards, and the entire winery process also respects nature.
Due to the well-marked seasons with warm summers and cold winters, and thanks to the temperate influence of the sea, the geographical location of this vineyard offers the grapes suitable conditions to complete an optimal ripening.

Grape varieties:
97% Chardonnay / 3% Viognier

Tasting notes:
Of a bright golden colour, with greenish hues, Preludio Blanco offers a complex and pleasant aroma, where citric notes and white flowers are the most persistent. There are also subtle notes of dried white fruits, accompanied by a touch of vanilla, butter and white chocolate. In the mouth, the wine is round and unctuous, with volume. The finish is persistent, thanks to its freshness and vivacity.

What is so special about South American wine?

Wines from South America have been arousing enormous interest among wine consumers and connoisseurs around the world for decades. This is mainly due to the typicality of the soils and the production techniques, which allow the different varieties of white and red wine to be produced in a special and unique way. We can appreciate this in wines from Argentinawines from Chile and wines from Uruguay.
The geography of these countries is very diverse, and is influenced not only by the spectacular Andes mountain range, at whose foot the largest number of vineyards in Argentina and Chile are located, but also by the sea breezes and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, which characterizes Uruguayan vineyards so much.

White wine from Argentina:

Among the Argentine white wines we find a unique grape in the world: Torrontés, followed by Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillón, among others.

White wine from Uruguay:

Among the white wines of this country we can distinguish mainly Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Moscatel.

White wine from Chile:

Among the white wines of Chile we find excellent Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling, among others.

Designation of origin and geographical indication:

In all these countries there are regulations that, particularly in each one, have allowed over the years the creation of geographical indications and denominations of origin. Always respecting local regulations regarding the combination of vines and terroirs, the inventiveness of winegrowers in the production of Blends and Cuvees, both red and white, and of sparkling and rosé wines, stands out.
In Andenweine you can also find internationally awarded wines from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
