What is so special about South American wine?

Regarding Chilean wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon stands out, which in this trans-Andean country is given in a very special way, followed by Carmenere, Cinsault, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

In all these countries there are regulations that, particularly in each one, have allowed over the years the creation of geographical indications and denominations of origin.
