Grape variety:
Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
Luigi Bosca - Grand Pinot Noir - La Consulta is an authentic wine of the country. It has a bright ruby red colour and is not very deep. Its aromas are delicate, with notes of red fruits and spices. In the mouth it is lively and balanced, with a fine texture, open and refreshing on the palate; with a complex character and a deep finish, integrating the toasted notes of ageing in French oak barrels. It is a variety exponent with personality and ageing potential.

What is so special about South American wine?

Wines from South America have been arousing enormous interest among wine consumers and connoisseurs around the world for decades. This is mainly due to the typicality of the soils and the production techniques, which allow the different varieties of white and red wine to be produced in a special and unique way. We can appreciate this in wines from Argentinawines from Chile and wines from Uruguay.
The geography of these countries is very diverse, and is influenced not only by the spectacular Andes mountain range, at whose foot the largest number of vineyards in Argentina and Chile are located, but also by the sea breezes and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, which characterizes Uruguayan vineyards so much.

Red wine from Argentina:

Among the varieties that stand out most among the wines made in Argentina, we can find, without a doubt, Malbec at the top of the podium, followed by Cabernet SauvignonBonardaTannatMerlotSyrah and Pinot Noir

Red wine from Uruguay:

As regards Uruguayan wines, the Tannat grape stands out mainly, since this country is the main producer of wines based on this grape. Also Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Marselán, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Pinot Noir.

Red wine from Chile:

Regarding Chilean wines, the Cabernet Sauvignon stands out, which in this trans-Andean country is given in a very special way, followed by Carmenere, Cinsault, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

Designation of origin and geographical indication:

In all these countries there are regulations that, particularly in each one, have allowed over the years the creation of geographical indications and denominations of origin. Always respecting local regulations regarding the combination of vines and terroirs, the inventiveness of winegrowers in the production of Blends and Cuvees, both red and white, and of sparkling and rosé wines, stands out.
